Islamic State's Terrorism

Islamic State (IS) is a radical Islamist group that has seized large swathes of territory in eastern Syria and across northern and western Iraq. The group aims to establish a "caliphate", a state ruled by a single political and religious leader according to Islamic law, or Sharia.[1] ISIS is known for killing dozens of people at a time and carrying out public executions, crucifixions and other acts.[2] The group emerged in the ashes of the U.S.-led invasion to oust Saddam Hussein as al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), and the insurgency that followed provided it with fertile ground to wage a guerrilla war against coalition forces and their domestic allies.[3]

Based on studies and reports, it can be said that ISIS intentionally and brutally kill people to terrorize their enemies and they do this for the goal of winning power and resources focused for the well-being of themselves and their affiliated group, which is one of the reasons why some people are being blinded of their offer when asked to join their forces.  ISIS fighting by the inhumane societal rules of the “dark ages” is, according to Don Beck, the prime example of stage 3 societal development, which is Power Gods in which people live for now, are impulsive and driven to conquer others through brutality.[4]

One of the recent execution of the ISIS is the Jordanian air force pilot filmed being burned to death by Islamic State extremists was heavily sedated and unaware of what was about to happen, it has been claimed.[5] To respond with this, Jordan has executed two jihadists, including a prisoner whose freedom had been sought by the self-declared Islamic State militant group.[6] And another is, at least 21 Egyptians were kidnapped in two separate incidents in the city of Sirte, Libya and a five-minute video was filmed in a style similar to that of previous videos depicting the murders of western prisoners by Isis. President Sisi had vowed to ‘avenge the criminal killings’.[7] Many lives have already been sacrificed because of this ISIS terrorism.

It can be gleaned from the news about the heinous acts of ISIS that what is more alarming is that even children and women who have no strength to fight over armed men are enslaved by them. Women and girls are also forced to marriage and sexual slavery. And now, ISIS joins forces with Abu Sayyaf, BIFF in Basilan.[8] It was confirmed by a mayor in the said place that more than a hundred of youth was recruited by a group who presented themselves as ISIS.[9] This is a grave threat that has already entered the country.
