The Terror of ISIS and their misconception of JIHAD

ISIS trace its history directly back to the Sunni terrorist organization al Qaeda, specifically the Iraq faction, al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). AQI, led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was responsible for scores of bombings, kidnappings and beheading in Iraq following the U.S. invasion there. After al-Zarqawi was killed in 2006 by an American airstrike, leadership of the group eventually fell to an experienced Iraqi fighter, Abu Du’a, better known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who had once been in U.S. custody in Iraq. AQI was weakened in Iraq in 2007 as a result of what is known as the Sunni Awakening, when a large alliance of Iraqi Sunni tribes, supported by the U.S., fought against the jihadist group. AQI saw an opportunity to regain its power and expand its ranks in the Syrian conflict that started in 2011, moving into Syria from Iraq. By 2013, al-Baghdadi had spread his group’s influence back into Iraq and changed the group’s name to ISIS, “reflecting its greater regional ambitions,”. [1]

The group have emerged from a terrorist group to an army that spread terror to Iraq and Syria. The operation of ISIS is very radical they use social media to recruit jihadist from all over the world and their leaders do not hide their faces. The group also created annual reports indicating the terror they have created and how funds were being spent. ISIS group depends heavily on donations, selling oil from a low price in the market, and looting from establishments and government offices. The new practice of ISIS indeed were successful, their efforts draw in hundreds of muslims all over the world to fly in Iraq and fight with their “sacred cause”. 

Up to this time, ISIS terror is unstoppable.A very evil killing the terrorist group recently had done was letting the mother of their victim eat his own son. This kind of cruelty is not in the name of ALLAH. The ISIS group are just bunch of people greedy for power and falsely blinded by the wrong interpretation of quo'ran. The beheading, raping and terrorizing the nation of Iraq and Syria are definitely not in line with the teachings of quo'ran. Islam as they said is the religion of peace however the ISIS was not able to get that part they keep on excusing their terror attacks as part of their jihad. The ISIS definitely misunderstood the concept of JIHAD. JIHAD meant holy war but not litterally that a group of muslims will conduct crimes to humanity. Muslim scholars said that if military jihad is needed then it should be performed from the most legal and diplomatic way where no innocent lives will be wasted. Their misconception and their stupidity have killed thousands of innocent lives. 

The terror of ISIS should be stop however it will be very hard for the government of Iraq, Syria and the rest of the world to stop their operations as long as this group keep on mounting ALLAH, JIHAD, and the QUO'RAN. We can only just hope that this ISIS group leaders are stupid enough to make the same mistake of al qaeda where they created little factions of their own believing that it would lead them to "victory" but in the end it failed and weakened al qaeda!
